Welcome to the Flying D Ranch, home of Steve and Rhonda Doyle, a working horse and cattle ranch located 1.2 miles East of Graham, Texas. The Flying D features the only known bi-weekly team penning practice in North Central Texas that supplies fresh cattle on a regular basis. We also offer Appaloosa and Quarter Horses for sale as well as Giant Bermuda (coastal) hay that we grow on approximately 70 acres.
Our specialty and what we love most are our Team Penning Practices. Everyone is welcome and the cost is only $25.00 per person. A typical evening begins with ranch sorting to warm the horses up for the pennings in our outdoor lighted arena. At the end of the day we have a draw pot, everyone's name goes in the pot and we draw for teams. This is a great way for everyone to get to know each other and you never know who you may run with. The winners receive 50 percent of the pot - lots of fun!!! Money's not important, fun's the name of the game at The Flying D Ranch. We try to adhere to USTPA, GLOBAL, and Southwest Team Penning Association rules.
There are plenty of shade trees to relax under and lots of fields if you want to ride. Practice times vary with the seasons - summer months we start later in the day, cooler months we sort and pen under the sun. we're only two miles from the closest restaurant and minutes away from the Largest Downtown Square in America.
